Scrap Your Kit - Penny Arcade [Galeries La Fayette, Eiffelturm By Night]

Here are the last two pages I made with the "Penny Arcade" scrapbook kit by Studio Calico. I really loved this kit but as I did not bought any of the add ons I could only use the stuff from the main kit. For the first page I cut out some butterflies with the help of dies. I used the pretty paper that came with the kit and some additional vellum paper which I order now and then together with my kits.

The Galeries La Fayette is the one of the biggest shopping centers in the middle of Paris. Its in the really old building and has an impressive dome with lots of colored glass and old lamps.

I took the picture of the Eiffeltower on our last night in Paris. Every hour during the evening there is this really cool light show. It lasts only five minutes so you have to be quick to take some good pictures. Not the easiest task.

For this page I used all my leftovers and some additional old Jenni Bowlin stickers I found in my stash. The camera paper clip is from Prima.

I wish you all a nice sunday and next week I will show you 9 scrapbook pages which I made with the not so loved "Sandlot" scrapbook kit.

Scrap Your Kit - Penny Arcade [Notre Dame, Photoshoot Am Ufer Der Seine]

I promised you to show you all 7 scrapbook layouts I made with the "Penny Arcade" scrapbook kit by Studio Calico. Today I have 2 pages for you and I hope you like them.

The first one is about the Notre Dame, a huge cathedral in the middle of Paris. Everyone have heard of Notre Dame before, right. I scrapped some pictures I took after visiting the building, Notre Dame looks like this at the backside. The frontside has these two huge towers with the rosettes.

The second page is about a photoshooting at the river Seine in the middle of Paris and nearby the Notre Dame. There were no tourists around and a female photographer took this picture of two people dressed up in old parisian clothes. And I took some pictures too, you can see more pictures of this photoshooting in my mini album about our trip to Paris, which I made a few weeks ago.

Scrap Your Kit - Penny Arcade [Glass & Steel]

It was really hard to take pictures of this location. I hate it when people run around and want to get on my pictures. So, I had to wait a few minutes to get a picture without disturbing people on it. But I am really happy with the result and I scrapped a page about the Centre Pompidou, the location of this photo. In the journaling I described why its so spectacular that the huge building is made out of glass and steel.

Love the funky colors and triangles on the scrapbook layout. Perfect for pictures like these.

And I did it again, I used some alphas which I made with the help of an alphabet die by Lawn Fawn. Love the look.

Scrap Your Kit - Penny Arcade [Centre Pompidou]

I really love this scrapbook layout, I love the pretty papers, the wood veneer letters and the few embellishments. I mainly used the scrapbook kit "Penny Arcade" for this one but I found some really old stuff by companies that do not exist or are not that important for me anymore...so some stickers I bought back 4 or 5 years ago found their way on this page.

The letters that spell "Pompidou" were made with a simple alphabet die by Lawn Fawn. So if you run out of letters, do not give up and buy or order new ones...make your own instead!

More pages about Paris and especially about the Centre Pompidou, which is my favorite modern art museum after Kunsthaus Schirn in Frankfurt and the Astrup Fearnley museum  in Oslo will be posted within the next few days. So stay tuned.

Scrap Your Kit - Penny Arcade [Love Postcards]

Hei ladies, I am back with one of my latest scrapbook layouts about my recent summertrip to one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. We all love Paris, right? I made in total 7 pages with the "Penny Arcade" scrapbook kit and I think this is pretty good as I did not bought any of the add ons in july! So, these pages were only made with just one (!) scrapbook kit! I just love using stuff and when a kit is killed I am one happy scrapper.

The first page I want to show you is actually a scraplift. I lifted a page by Elizabeth Kartchner, who is one of my favorite scrapbbok designers ever. I found the original scrapbook layout on pinterest. Pinterest is a great source for all kind of inspiration and I use Pinterest quite often.

And yes, I love postcards, but I did not buy any, instead I made some cool photos of the ones I loved. Smart, right? It definitely saved me some Euros.

Scrap your kit [Hello, hello]

"Hello, hello" was one of my favorite scrapbook kits by Studio Calico so far this year, but it was really difficult to make more than 6 pages. Here you can see all my scrapbook layouts I made with this kit about Oslo, Paris and Vienna. The places I have been and love. Tomorrow I will show you more scrapbook layouts I made with kits from Studio Calico. I am done with both "Penny Arcade" and "Sandlot"! Yeah!

Hope you all have a nice and sunny day. The sun is shining in over here in norway, perfect for working outside! Love it.

Scrap Your Kit - Hello, Hello [Den Norske Opera & Barcode, Prater By Night]

Hei! Its sunday today and the last day of the summer holidays over here in Norway. It´s raining and it´s pouring so I cleaned the whole house. During the holidays I made more pages with the scrapbook kit "Hello, hello" by Studio Calico. The first one is actually a scraplift and I lifted a page by Paige Evans, love her style.

For the second scrapbook layout I used gold embossing for the funky circles. Love these stamps by Studio Calico.

I wish you a nice and not so rainy sunday!

Happy Scrappy Friends Blog Hop - August [Kreise]

Scrap Your KIt - Hello, Hello [Greetings From Paris?]

Aren´t these butterflies the cutest? I just love them. I had to make a page with at least 3 of them. I used a sketch by Shimelle and scrapped a photo which I took at a souvenir shop in Paris. I did not want to sent postcards to all my friends and family, they will get handcrafted cards instead but I wanted to remember that you can buy really nice postcards in Paris. These ones are very artistic, love that.

I do not like doilies at all, but in the kit were some golden ones included, so I used one (I always trie to use my stuff)...well it looks nice but it is definitely not my favorite embellishment. The dark blue alphas are diecutted with a lawn fawn die and I used the negative as a cute background for my photo, I just hate leftovers.

Scrap Your Kit - Hello, Hello [Macarons]

Here is another scrapbook layout with just one picture of the best macarons ever. I just love macarons, they are so sweet and so colorful! A macaron is actually sweet based meringue-based confection made with eggs, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond powder and food coloring. The french macaron is filled with ganache, jam or buttercream. And they taste really good. Have to make some by myself one day.

Near Mont Martre are a few shops that sell macarons in lots of different falvors and colors. My husband and I tried a green and pink one. They were quite pricey too.

I took a picture of all these sweet macarons and used the Hello, Hello scrapbook kit by Studio Calico to scrap it.
The bright, fun colors and the stamped circles remember me of the macarons.

Next week I will show you more pages about Paris. Stay tuned!

Edit: I just fixed the title, of course macaron is spelled with an R! *lol*
