My Project Life [January 2014]

Hei! Today I want to show you how my Project Life pages go together with my scrapbook layouts. I made some PL pages with the Core Kit "Honey edition" by Becky Higgins and American Crafts. For the scrapbook layouts I used some patterned papers and embellishments by Pebbles, most supplies are from the "From Me To You" collection.

This PL page is about the selfies I took in january and the coordinating scrapbook layout shows my morning routine. I just love to have a healthy breakfast with müsli, yoghurt and blueberries and and a cup of Coffee Latte.

These pages are actually a double PL page spread and they show what I do in the winter. I love my white hot chocolate with mini marshmellows and I love to make instagrams of the blue light in the evening.

"Into the blue" is the title of a book which I are reading right now. I thought it would make a perfect title for these instagrampics!

The last PL page goes together with a coordinating scrapbook page and again it is all about my trip to Oslo. I always take the train and sometimes the bus, but the train is faster and saver though! We had some really bad traffic accidents with busses in Oslo lately, so I really prefer the train during the winter!

Some embellishments are from Pebbles and some like the arrows and the geotags are just from my older stash. I love using my stash lately, I don´t want to hoard everything.

The next scrapbook layout is all about the one sunny day in february 2014.

So, this is my PL philosophy: Project Life pages and scrapbook layouts go perfectly together. I do not care about "catching up!", I just make pages and all pages go in one album! I have no stress with weekly or monthly spreads!

Scrap Your KIt - Blue Note [You Are My Everything, Warm&Cozy]

Hei and welcome back to another edition of "Scrap Your Kit". I made in total scrapbook pages with the Blue Note scrapbook kit by Stduio Calico and used some additional embellishments and cards from the other "Blue Note" kits.
The first page is about our trip to the Spikertjernhytta in Nittedal. I was really cold that day but in the end we really had it warm and cozy inside the cabin.

For the second page I used some random photos of the fireplace nearby and the signs.

Baking Stories [Brownies]

Hei! Today I want show you my favorite brownies recipe! I baked them today and they are so yummy! The boys loved them too, I could hardly take a picture of them!

Hummingbird´s Bakery Traditional Brownies:

33 x 23 x 5 cm baking tray, lined with baking paper
200 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
175 g unsalted butter
325 g sugar
130 g plain flour
3 eggs
icing sugar, to decorate (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 170 degree Celsius

2. Put the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (do not let the base of the bowl touch the water). Leave until melted and smooth.

3. Remove from the heat. Add the sugar and stir until well incorporated. Add the flour and stir until well incorparated. Finally, stir in the eggs and mix until thick and smooth.

4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until flaky on the top but still soft in the centre. Be careful not to overcook otherwise the edges will become hard and crunchy. Leave to cool completely before dusting with icing sugar, to decorate.

My Project Life [December 2013, January 2014]

I started with Project Life lately. I subscribe the PL kits since last year and I finally made my first pages. As there are no rules I don´t make weekly pages but I make pages that coordinate with my scrapbook layouts. All pages go in one album. I don´t have a special PL album. I want to tell one story of my life, not two.

Here are the PL pages for December 2013 and January 2014. The first 6 PL pages are about our recent trip to Lanzarote. I made some scrapbook layouts with other photos and these pages coordinate really good with them.

The next two PL pages are about skiing at the Varingskollen and my trip to Oslo in January. I love to go there and I made some Instagram pics.

Next friday I will show you more PL pages and I want show you how these pages coordinate with my scrapbook layouts! So stay tuned!
